Between 2014 and mid-2021, OxFed was a new kind of not-for-profit healthcare organisation providing NHS services. Wholly owned by Oxford's NHS GP practices, we and our 19 member practices cared for the City's 240,000-strong population. OxFed provided healthcare in people's homes, at dedicated Covid-19 clinics and in local general practices across the city. OxFed successfully hosted the Oxfordshire Training Hub and worked on innovative pilot projects across Oxfordshire. As the NHS Long Term Plan's focus shifted to larger, integrated healthcare providers we were proud to work with our partners to secure new roles for our team and to ensure the services we ran went from strength to strength. Although the NHS's focus is now on providers of a different scale and OxFed has been replaced by new structures and systems, our team continue to look after patients in the City with their new employers.
