ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies is a clinical-stage DK based biotech company specialised in the development of new vaccines and immunotherapy products. The company has a discovery platform built around a proprietary recombinant expression system, ExpreS2 TM, developed especially for fast and efficient development and production of complex proteins required for innovative new vaccines, immunotherapy and diagnostics. The system also includes functionally modified glycosylation variants.The development pipeline includes two different malaria vaccine projects in clinical Phase II (blood-stage malaria) and clinical Phase I (pregnancy-associated malaria), respectively. Furthermore, ExpreS2ion also develops novel influenza vaccines currently in preclinical development. Since founded in 2010, ExpreS2ion has produced more than 300 proteins and 40 virus-like particles (VLPs) in collaboration with a high number of leading research institutions, biotech and pharma companies, demonstrating superior efficiency and success rates. The cVLP platform resides in its joint venture partner AdaptVac that was founded in 2017.
