The CRC Institute provides solar PV/thermal and green construction training and certification, as well as contractor exam preparation workshops. Through strategic partnerships with both public and private organizations, the Institute is successfully training students in solar technology and green construction. An extensive 200-hour program over the span of eight weeks engages students in all areas of study, including theory, hands-on training, safety, professional development, customer service, sales and marketing, design and installation.The Contractor Exam Preparation Workshops will prepare students to sit for the following Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Construction Licensing Board exams: Certified General Contractor, Certified Building Contractor, Certified Residential Building Contractor, Certified Roofing Contractor and Certified Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor. These week-long courses will include instruction on business and finance requirements, code compliance, construction techniques, safety/OSHA guidelines, contracts and contract administration.
