John Ratcliffe is the Congressman-elect in the 4th District of Texas. He has a proven record of fighting for conservative values:-As U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas (2007-2008), John fought hard to combat illegal immigration, terrorism, child predators, public corruption and drug trafficking. During this time, he led "Operation Plymouth Rock" – a national operation which led to the arrest of over 300 illegal aliens who committed identity fraud to unlawfully work in this country.-As the Chief of Anti-Terrorism and National Security for the Eastern District of Texas (2004-2007), John personally managed dozens of international and domestic terrorism investigations. He also helped formulate and revise the DOJ's anti-terrorism strategies.-As the mayor of Heath, Texas (2004-2012), John made a promise to balance budgets without raising taxes, and kept it – for eight straight years.In the 144 year history of the State of Texas, John is the first challenger to successfully unseat a sitting Republican Congressman in a primary. He will be sworn in as a member of the 114th United States Congress on January 3, 2015.
