Prayaas India is a non-profit NGO, founded in the year 2008 under Societies Registration Act, 1860, and is run by students of BIT Sindri, Jharkhand. It primarily works in the Education sector providing free and quality education to needy children in the neighborhood areas of the institute while providing facilities like library, Computer labs, Digital Classrooms, books, and stationery items, etc.Currently, there are 4 centers in Sindri (Dhanbad) with a cumulative strength of 450 students. Apart from that regular Blood Donation camps in association with Govt. Hospitals, Health Checkup camps, plantation drives, Clothes distribution, Annual Techno- Cultural Fest RAINBOW, and various other activities conducted for the betterment and holistic development of the students and people of nearby villages.
