Founded in 1950, National Research Company was formed based on post war needs to provide critical and strategic resources to the domestic economy. Specifically, the manufacture and reclaimation of tungsten carbide and industrial diamonds within the United States. Having previous experience with both the development of natural diamond as an industrial abrasive, as well as, the tungsten carbine tool industry; the company first concentrated on supplying natural diamond for various industrial products.
