RLP has developed a new 3D printing approach that allows for large-scale, soft and stretchable products in minutes with industrial standard materials. Developed at MIT's Self-Assembly Lab, liquid materials are "drawn" in 3-dimensions within a suspension bath allowing for the production of soft components with high elongation and durability. While traditional 3-D printing has been unable to deliver large, soft, nontoxic parts, RLP is giving engineers and designers the power to scale their big ideas and bring them to market in a real way, whether it be prosthetics for amputees or complex soft robotics.
