Perinet Winery started a new project of wine making three years ago linked to the present times. The focus is to understand the vineyards and wine with the integration in the territory and how varieties have adapted to our Mediterranean environment. The current experience in Perinet estate has reached to comprehend the different varieties needs on those "meso" climates, terraces and slopes at high altitude. The Perinet winemaking team comes with full experience in the Priorat, our philosophy starts from observing the vineyard, how it grows, develops and adapts to the environment where it was planted seventeen years ago.Our entire vineyard located in La Morera, Poboleda and Porrera, lead us to understand our wines as blends of the northern Priorat. The character of this terroir –defined by soil and climate- is marked by strong contrasts between the different varieties. This personality is translated into three wines: an entry level more bold and playful, a core blend deeper and voluminous and a flagship, with more persistence and finesse that will not leave you indifferent at all.The vineyard is reaching adulthood and begins to give excellent quality grapes. With regard tillage and crop managing Perinet is very respectfully with the environment using organic fertilizers and natural pesticide treatments. Harvest is adjusted to what we learned from each variety, picking dates depends not only on sugars and acidity but tannins and color, what it is known as phenolic maturity. The aging of wines is made in stainless steel and french oak casks. During this process we also use different barrels, selected from different forests, according to the needs of each variety. In the entire process, from cultivation to bottling, the idea is to promote, respect and refine the characteristics of the terroir. The result is 100% Priorat wines to excite us for personality and elegance.
