Our mission is to transform knowledge and outcomes of mental illness by funding medical research for mental health. Money raised funds the 1907 Trailblazer Award which supports emerging scientists in their quest for cures. We invest in mental health research projects grounded in Biology (i.e. pulling the physical out of the mental). The neurobiology of mental illness is understandable. With the right tools, causes and cures will be identified. Any amount helps advance the innovative brain and mental health research of young scientists. We take a first principles approach rather than a symptomatic approach to allocating money. Symptoms are observations, not causes. As such, we are Illness Agnostic. Our team spans universities and research disciplines, with representation from neurobiology, genetics, neuroimaging, neuroengineering, and computational neuroscience.
