The story of Kirby Electric has its humble beginnings in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Its founder, James Patrick Kirby, was an immigrant with a natural gift for working on machines and ambition to spare. His ingenuity and leadership led to Kirby's first storefront in 1948, and from there Kirby grew through the years to become one of the most successful electrical contractors in the area. Today we specialize in constructing the largest projects in our industry, such as power plants, office buildings, schools, and airports.
