Founder and Director of Law Enforcement & Government Partnerships at Heyrick Research - Arlington, VA, US
Heyrick Research is an intelligence-driven research organization focused on disrupting the human trafficking business model. We understand human trafficking networks and their business drivers, leverage those insights to build collaborative solutions with partner stakeholders in the field, and attack the business where it's most vulnerable.Elizabeth Heyrick was an abolitionist in early 19th Century England. At that time, the most prominent anti-slavery voices, to include William Wilberforce, believed that slavery would gradually die out on its own once the right laws were passed. Elizabeth Heyrick became a radical leader of an alternate viewpoint, that nothing less than immediate abolition and complete emancipation of slaves was satisfactory. She felt that the anti-slavery establishment was being entirely too patient, too polite, and too accommodating of existing systems that relied on the slave trade. We like Heyrick's tenacity, and we really like her belief that a society such as ours should not tolerate slavery or exploitation for even just one more day. So we decided to name ourselves after her.
