Entry is Free of Charge Banbury Museum opened in 2002, and is situated in an attractive town centre and waterside location. The iconic modern building displays local history collections and hosts touring exhibitions. The Museum offers a family friendly approach, with a busy programme of activities and events for all ages. Banbury lies at the centre of a rich historic landscape that has evolved over millennia. The Museum encourages research into the region's history, and with partners Banbury Historical Society, offers free access to over 50 years of research through these pages. Banbury Museum is actively engaged with education, offering workshops for schools, both in the Museum and in class, monthly reminiscence meetings and projects with special interest, or cultural groups.
