SnowSports Industries America (SIA) is the national not-for-profit, North American member-owned trade association representing suppliers and service providers of consumer outdoor winter sports with constituents in the retailer, rep and resort communities. Established in 1954, SIA delivers invaluable education, data/research, support, marketing products, government affairs representation, services and programs. SIA is a partner with Outdoor Retailer in the annual Outdoor + Snow Show every January. SIA works collectively with all components of the snow sports industry; our members - alpine, snowboard, AT, telemark, cross country, nordic, snowshoe, winter outdoor, apparel and accessories companies, retailers, reps, resorts, regional and national associations and Buying Groups. Guidance from these different sectors of the industry make SIA what it is today, an organization representative of suppliers, retailers, resorts and reps all with the goal of promoting the growth and development of outdoor winter sports. We work to achieve this goal by leveraging our members' brands with the promotion of their products in the media and through consumer outreach programs; getting more people on snow more often and making sure they are properly equipped and dressed to give them the best experience of outdoor winter sports.In 2020, SIA acquired the Denver and Boston Ski and Snowboard Expos from BEWI Productions, Inc and launched the re-branded events as Snowbound Festival. These annual events are the unofficial kickoff to winter. Snowbound offers a fresh, new twist on traditional winter expos with more brands, more consumers and more activities.
