SPS Technology's Sandwich Plate System (SPS) is a transformational technology. This structural composite material comprising two metal plates bonded by an elastomer core delivers a high strength to weight ratio making it an excellent alternative to both reinforced concrete and stiffened steel. SPS has been used extensively in the civil, maritime and offshore markets. SPS has been accepted and used by civil engineers and architects globally for more than a decade. In new buildings, building extension project applications include structural floors, walls, lift cores, balconies and slab extensions; stadium and arena stands and terraces; the construction, extension and/or reinstatement of highway and pedestrian bridge decks; blast and impact protection of structures both existing and new. In the maritime and offshore markets, SPS is approved by all major Classification Societies. It has been used to reinstate and strengthen offshore and maritime vessels and structures. It is non-intrusive and uses the existing structure as one side of the newly installed composite. Applications include: deck and tank top reinstatement and strengthening, side shell fendering, helideck upgrade, bulkheads, below the waterline repairs. No hot work and low heat input methods have been available since 2003. The impact and blast resistant properties of SPS make it suitable for escape tunnels on FPSOs and impact resistance modular decks. To discuss your project, contact us at:- buildings@spstechnology.com- stadia@spstechnology.com- bridges@spstechnology.com- maritime@spstechnology.com- offshore@spstechnology.com- specialapplications@spstechnology.com
