WHO: Omaha Conservatory of Music (OCoM) is a 501 (3) C organization which has grown out of a grassroots need to provide music education to area youth and adults.WHAT: Since 2001, OCoM's mission to create a musical community through education and performance has developed to embody our core values: PASSION + DEDICATION=EXCELLENCE. We have grown to over 800 students, over 35 artist-faculty, teaching strings, voice, piano, guitar, brass, percussion and woodwinds to a variety of populations. Ask us more!--The Conservatory currently provides individual lessons in violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, guitar, voice, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and trombone, as well as conducting, music composition, and theory.Our outstanding artist-faculty challenges and inspires a student body of over 800 conservatory musicians and touches the lives of countless others through special programs. In addition to individual lessons, our musical community offers a rich variety of classes, interaction with guest artists, ensemble experiences, educational workshops, solo and group performances, and other unique opportunities in collaboration with arts organizations throughout the city.
