The Hunt family and team are committed to sustainable farming – because to make great wines you need clean air, clean water and healthy soil. Their Rieslings and Rosés have received multiple 90+ scores from major wine publications and praise from industry critics. Hunt Country Vineyards has recently released their Uncharted Terroir wines made from regionally-adapted, climate-resilient grape varieties. Hunt Country Vineyards is also the oldest continuous producer of ice wine in the United States. To ensure a sustainable future for the winery and the Finger Lakes, Hunt Country Vineyards produce the majority of their electricity with 348 solar panels, heat and cool the main buildings with a geothermal system, provide five free electric vehicle charging stations for customers, are constantly improving soil health with the use of compost and mulch, and manage their farm as an entire ecosystem – not just grapes.
