In 1984, Mark Skoda began a small carpet cleaning service in Medina County. As the company developed in the following years, different services were provided. By 1990 we had expanded into Janitorial Service, Water Damage Restoration, Oriental Rug Care, and Hard Floor Care. With this diversity, Mark's Cleaning Service was able to hire 20 outstanding employees, and the company looked forward to future growth. Through the years, Mark's Cleaning broadened its capabilities in carpet cleaning and oriental rug care. We purchased the latest truck-mount carpet cleaning units, and sent our technicians through rigorous certification classes to ensure that we have the best in the field. In 1998, the company took another huge step forward with the purchase of a 5,000 square-foot building in Medina to help facilitate our growth. Over the next seven years we added additional services, including Commercial Carpet Care, Window Cleaning, and Maid Service. Today Mark's Cleaning Cleaning Service is a full service company with more than 115 employees. We have contracts to service over 125 buildings, with more than 2 million square feet of cleaning done each week. We enjoy membership in several professional associations, including Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), the Institute of Inspection Cleaning (IIC), and Restoration Certification.
