West Metro Fire Protection District is an internationally-accredited, ISO 1 rated, full-service, all-hazard, fire and rescue agency. West Metro Fire Rescue (WMFR) was created in 1995 after the community voted to consolidate the Lakewood Fire Protection District and Bancroft Fire Protection District. Service AreasWest Metro Fire Rescue is a special district government agency providing fire and rescue services to nearly 280,000 residents, covering more than 108 square miles in two Colorado counties with crews at 17 fire stations. We have six meeting rooms, along with a small conference room. Board of DirectorsWest Metro Fire Rescue is governed by a public-elected seven member Board of Directors that oversees the budget and establish policy.
