RAC-G operates as a not-for-profit entity to serve as a link between area hospitals, pre-hospital providers and local, state and federal agencies in matters of trauma, healthcare, disaster preparedness, and response. RAC-G ensures that a disaster preparedness plan and resources are in place and that our regional hospitals and medial emergency teams are ready for response when disaster strikes through our Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) and Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF) programs. RAC-G serves in 19 counties and assist in disaster preparedness for man-made or natural emergencies, disasters, and mass causality events.
