The Grant County EDC helps bring new employers to Grant County that create jobs for local residents, provide a stable tax base, and make us less vulnerable to economic declines.Since 1998 the Grant County EDC has recruited 17 companies that provide over 2,500 jobs for the residents of our local communities. On average, these new jobs pay roughly $50,000 a year, much more than the county average wage of $32,500.The EDC has also provided assistance to an additional 15 companies already located in the community. These companies provide over 2,250 jobs for local residents. Combine all these jobs plus the indirect jobs they create and it adds up to over 8,000 people employed. These jobs are making a real difference in the local economy by providing stable employment, great wages, and increased spending at local retail and service businesses.
