For more than three decades, the CCCTG with its 300 members across over 60 adult and pediatric ICUs, has led the world in conducting high quality collaborative research into the management of the most severely ill patients, including those with COVID-19. We have conducted multiple clinical trials that have changed clinical practice, published more than 350 scientific papers which have contributed to saving and improving thousands of lives, and been leaders in promoting global research collaboration. Our members come from across Canada, and include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nutritionists and patient representatives. We not only have created a uniquely collegial and productive research collaboration within Canada, but also have garnered the respect of colleagues around the world who have embraced a model of clinician-investigator-led research collaboration.
