Owner & Fabricator in Chief at Dixie Fried Fabrication - Highland, California, United States
Dixie Fried Fabrication is the result of 25 years of sheet metal fabrication experience earned by owning and running a variety of specialty fabrication shops. We've combined all that experience under one name to provide a full spectrum of fabrication and machining services. Lou Junkins, the owner, got his start working in the Air Force. First he maintained and repaired all manner of military vehicles, and then he moved on to Caterpillar, where he performed diagnosis and repair of all systems and engines. After that, he opened the first of his sheet metal fabrication businesses: Anshelm Arms. In a few years Lou returned to his first love, cars, and opened a sand car shop. In 6 years he designed and built a total of 35 frames, chassis, and turn-key cars, all out of a 1200 square-foot shop. Two cars were featured in Sand Sports Magazine in 2007. Eventually, the sand car industry was derailed by the nation's economic troubles. Lou realized it made good business sense to combine his years of specialized fabrication experiences under one general metal fabrication banner, and Dixie Fried Fabrication was born. After 25 years, we have established ourselves as sheet metal fabrication experts: designing, cutting, bending, welding, forming, finishing, and new in 2018: machining. Also new in 2018, Dixie Fried Fabrication launched their line of heavy duty metal fabrication tools. These are tools we wish we had 25 years ago. Each tool is designed and built from the ground up to be everything a metal fabricator needs: Industrial strength, highly functional (exceeding the capabilities of those already on the market), easy to maintain, and more affordable than what's offered on the market today. We make the right tool for the job at a price you can afford--all made in the USA by a veteran-owned small business. We provide excellent service from drawing board to delivery. We've done it for hundreds of customers, and we can do it for you, with Old School Innovation.
