The VFW National Home for Children was born out of a desire to honor those who served our country by helping their families. Providing the children and families of veterans, active-duty military, reservists, and members of the VFW and its Auxiliary opportunities for growth and development in a nurturing community. By doing this we serve as a living memorial to all veterans. Our mission is accomplished by case managers working closely with families to set and achieve goals which are designed to provide the family with the tools to create a solid home life for their children once they exit our program. The National Home is predominantly funded by individuals and organizations (such as the VFW, its Auxiliaries) as well as businesses and corporations that support veteran causes.
