Welcome to Ohio University Zanesville!As Dean of Ohio University Zanesville, I am delighted to welcome you to our lovely campus and vibrant community.One of the first Ohio regional campuses, founded in 1946 to serve the needs of returning WWII veterans, OU Zanesville is committed to the economic and cultural development of the Zanesville region. To serve this mission, we provide access to outstanding learning opportunities and highly respected educational credentials in a small and supportive environment. Our students do not take these educational opportunities lightly. Many are the first in their families to attend college, have a full-time job while working on their degrees, have spouses and children, or drive over thirty miles to take classes. Their commitment to education inspires our dedicated staff and excellent faculty from all over the world to work together to give students the skills they need to succeed in the twenty-first century. The bewildering forces facing higher education today, including global and experiential education, emerging technologies, and collaborations and partnerships, shape OU Zanesville's five Associate and twelve Bachelor degrees. Our flexibly-scheduled courses in Zanesville and Cambridge, and online, prepare students for the challenges they will face in our changing world.
