KIPP ENC Public Schools is a region of free, open-enrollment charter schoosl located in Northampton, Halifax and Durham Counties serving students across eastern NC. KIPP Gaston College Ppreparatory, founded in 2001, was the first rural KIPP School in the country, and for the past twelve years, the staff, students and families at KIPP GCP have demonstrated that demography does not define destiny. This spring KIPP GCP's founding 5th graders began graduating from some of the nation's top universities, including the University of Pennsylvania, UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, NC State University, Morehouse College, Ithaca College and Wake Forest University. This fall KIPP GCP will serve over 900 students in grades K-1 and 5-12.
