Welcome Home, Inc. is a non-profit community-based program that enables homeless Veterans to return to society as productive self-supporting citizens. This Veteran-only transitional living program facilitates recovery through social responsibility, personal engagement and individualized programming based upon the needs and desires of the Veteran. Our Mission is to reduce Veteran homelessness by providing services and resources to meet basic needs and improve overall quality of life. Additional wrap-around services for clients address three main long-term goals: residential stability, increased skill level and/or income and greater self-determination of participants. All Veterans residing at Welcome Home, Inc. struggle with physical and/or mental disabilities coupled with chronic instability in employment and housing. Many residents file for VA Disability or Social Security Disability and await determinations, which can take more than two years. The shelter's ability to provide comprehensive wrap-around services to homeless Veterans, and the dedicated leadership of our Veteran-based Board of Directors, sets us apart from other community service providers.
