Crashandblend is a Black owned beauty accessories brand founded by celebrity makeup artist, Brittany Whitfield. Crashandblend Transfer-Proof Makeup Protectors are disposable and breathable face coverings made of recyclable materials that prevent makeup from transferring onto clothing during wardrobe changes. Inspired by the garments her husband wore in sterile operating rooms, Brittany felt she could fuse their worlds together to fill a hole in the beauty industry. She's witnessed years of fashion tragedies on set, before red carpets, and even Bat Mitzvahs of clients becoming contortionists trying to carefully squeeze themselves into form fitted tops and dresses without smudging their makeup or getting it on their outfits. Or worse: hearing testimonials of clients resorting to shower caps, plastic grocery bags, and satin bonnets. Not only are those options dangerous, but unhealthily trap heat, oil moisture, sweat, and makeup against your skin and into pores. For years, Brittany has used surgical caps as a set hack to bandaid a wildly underrated issue. But after the exploding feedback from her celebrity, high fashion, and everyday clients she knew this was something the world needed more access to. In the midst of a global pandemic, now more than ever is Crashandblend needed in the marketplace due to its disposable, sanitary, and eco-friendly benefits. Larger than that, they're designed specifically to be inclusive to all hairstyles, as washable makeup hoods (Crashandblend's only true competitor), are limited in functionality (are not conducive to afros, big curls, specialty or oversized updo's, etc). While Crashandblend is excellently gaining brand awareness and recognition on both a standard and professional consumer level, expanding to designer showrooms, retail dressing rooms, beauty counters, etc. will help bring awareness to the product we all never knew we needed.
