Aulis Insights Pte Ltd is a maritime consultancy founded by Capt. Bruce Ewen in 2014. Bruce served an indentured apprenticeship with Alfred Holt & Co. Ltd. (the Blue Funnel Line) before serving 7 years with Mobil Shipping Co. Ltd. of London as Third, Second and Chief Officers. Two years after joining World-Wide Shipping of Hong Kong, he became Master and served in command of ULCCs, VLCCs, Aframaxes and very large ore/oil vessels for 15 years. He became Port Captain with World-Wide, their first DPA and Operations Manager. In 1999, Bruce joined Maritime Claims & Services Pte Ltd as a surveyor and consultant and a P&I Correspondent. During that period he developed skills in presenting marine casualty incidents as 2D and 3D motion graphics. In 2008, Bruce was invited to join Clyde&Co Singapore as their Marine Manager and assisted with technical advice on many maritime cases, including acting as both technical and factual expert witness. In February 2014, Bruce founded Aulis Insights Pte Ltd in order to make his experience, knowledge and skills available to a wider audience.
