HAL Design is a company that allows the passionate indulgence of creating mechanical masterpieces for it's owner Paul. While the design of these cars and other mechanical items are that of Paul, engineering work is outsourced. Paul sources the best in Australia to execute his plans, be it individuals or companies, frequently collaborating with Barry Lock on projects. Barry Lock is a genius with McLaren F1 and Indycar construction to his credit. Barry is also the creator of Kadicha race cars and the creator of the fastest "time attack" cars ever built. Barry engineered our undefeated De Tomaso race car, our 15 Giocattolo production cars and recently our W16 Prototype, all of which were designed by Paul. Including the HAL supercharged 427 GTO Monaro show car, built over 5 years using a variety of outside fabricators and engineers and suppliers. Currently constructing the next penultimate Australian Supercar, the 'W16 Prototype', the pleasure for Paul is in the cars' creation. Should it take 5 years to complete then that is 5 years of enjoyment and fulfilment.
