Whether through the suffering of a beloved family member or a close relationship, we have all been touched by the pain of cancer. Cancer remains a major national health issue with 1.8 million new cases being diagnosed in the United States this year alone and over 600,000 Americans losing their lives. Unknown to most, the number one cause of cancer deaths is recurring or metastasizing cancer.Design 1 Bio is a biotechnology company whose mission is to wipe out recurring cancer. To do this, we are introducing a new, extremely high throughput - high content platform that can screen and identify drug(s) to treat or even ‘kill' dormant and metastasizing cancer cells. Specifically, our proven, patent-pending platform: • Simulates in vitro the phenotypical behavior of in vivo dormant, and metastasizing cancer cells in a 3D single cell format. • Presents a heterogeneous population of dormant, and metastasizing cancer cells in new extreme high-throughput, high content (HTS) industry standard-sized microwell and microchannel plates for fast, inexpensive, and more accurate single and multidrug screening(s). • Employs a machine-learning high throughput imaging application to quickly analyze the efficacy of drug screening(s) on these large, heterogeneous cancer cell populations.
