Synstone panels are high strength, lightweight, non combustible, and vandal proof while still having the aesthetic appeal of natural stone, exposed aggregate, and other surface effects. Synstone offers a range of effects including slate, stucco, travertine, brick, wood grain, and random textured surfaces. All effects can be face or back fastened to new or old structures expanding the flexibility of the panels. Synstone fibre reinforced concrete composite materials consist of high strength glass fibre embedded in a cementitious matrix. In this form, both fibres and matrix retain their physical and chemical identities, yet they produce a combination of properties that cannot be achieved with either of the constituents acting alone. In general, fibres are the principal load- carrying members, while the surrounding matrix keeps them in the desired locations and orientation, acting as a load transfer medium between them, as well as protecting them from environmental damage.
