In January 2014, the Asheville and Brevard Boards of REALTORS® merged to form one organization. With 1300+ members, the organization is one of the largest REALTOR® associations in North Carolina.LOTSAR‘s mission is to enhance our members' ability to exceed, to foster high ethical standards, and to promote private property rights.Support and enforcement of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics is a fundamental role of LOTSAR. Using processes dictated by the NAR's Ethics and Arbitration Manual, LOTSAR's Grievance and Professional Standards committees provide a fair and confidential platform for handling complaints from the public and offer effective conflict resolution services for members.LOTSAR members are also members of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® [NCAR] and the National Association of REALTORS® [NAR]. These organizations are among the largest trade associations in the state and in the country. LOTSAR is a 501c6 non-profit, member-run organization.LOTSAR's Members elect 13 Directors to develop policy and determine goals for the organization. Directors are unpaid volunteers.
