Pyrograf Products Inc. (PPI), an Ohio company located in Cedarville, OH, is the third leading producer of carbon nanofibers in the world. PPI was incorporated in 1996 to produce and sell Pyrograf-III carbon nanofibers as a subsidiary of ASI. In 2000, PPI spun off as a separate, but affiliated company of ASI. In 2002 PPI began steady state production of Pyrograf-III carbon nanofibers at its manufacturing plant in Cedarville, OH.Pyrograf Products, Inc. is the manufacturing affiliate of Applied Sciences, Inc. (ASI). PPI holds the worldwide exclusive license to produce and sell ASI-developed Pyrograf-III carbon nanofibers, a versatile vapor grown carbon nanofiber with a wide range of applications. It represents an investment of over $30 million in technology development by the ASI and General Motors since 1978. PPI currently operates a modern 70,000-lb/yr facility in Cedarville, Ohio and is developing manufacturing capacity to serve high margin, niche markets for Pyrograf-III.PPI has received ISO 9001 certification and is currently negotiating with the EPA for its Premanufacturing Notice (PMN) for large volume production and sales for commercial use.
