Bournemouth 7s Festival is the world's largest Sport & Music Festival welcoming over 30,000 people and 400 sports teams to the picturesque setting of Bournemouth Sports Club over the late May Bank Holiday each year. Once dubbed the Sporting Glastonbury by legendary DJ Spoony, this truly unique festival, which welcomes over 30,000 people across the weekend, has firmly cemented its place on the festival and sporting circuits with its combination of outstanding sport, awe-inspiring entertainment and an unrivalled party atmosphere. By day, more than 5000 sports lovers take part in over 1500 matches across 27 social and competitive tournaments in Rugby, Netball, Hockey and Dodgeball. Sports teams, many of whom are clad in spectacular fancy dress, are right at the centre of the festival and are the base around which it has grown to such popular acclaim. Working alongside a range of global brands such as Carlsberg, Monster and Spotify, Bournemouth 7s hosts 12 stunning festival arenas carrying a truly eclectic mix of entertainment including live bands, celebrated local DJs and even the famous karaoke tent. 2016 also saw the exciting addition of US artist FatMan Scoop and jungle legend General Levy. Founded in 2008 by Roger and Fleur Woodall and still independently delivered by a core team of just 7 people, Bournemouth 7s is a tribute to innovation and collaboration. It has firmly established a niche audience who return year on year from across Europe.
