Surf Clubs have become local community hubs right around Australia.Literally millions of Australians and overseas tourists directly interact with Surf Life Saving each year by using our charitable services - some realise this and some don't. Many do not give a second thought as to who sets up the red and yellow flags - the service is simply expected and as much a part of the Australian landscape as the beaches themselves. It is fair to say that most people know we are a worthy organisation and they can rely on the services we provide however very few truly understand that we are charity and are very much in need of public support.
