For more than 130 years, Glenwood Academy has strived to eradicate poverty, injustice, and inequality through the power of residential education. We are a learning community with a focus on eliminating generational cycles of oppression, illiteracy, and miseducation. Glenwood works daily to cultivate a learning community for the world to emulate. The practice of good citizenship is the heart of our learning community. Lifelong compassion for others is reinforced through our programming, curriculum, and annual events such as Pledge Service and Thanksgiving luncheon. Although there is no typical student who enters Glenwood Academy, there is a typical student who leaves Glenwood Academy. These students are ones whose lives have been transformed by the support, care, tireless dedication and love given to them by people who believe in them. Their futures are bright and full of opportunity.
