The 17th Zurich Film Festival will take place from 23rd September to 3rd October 2021. As a cultural and economic metropolis of Switzerland, as a production location and base of numerous producers, distributors and filmmakers, Zurich is an ideal location for a film festival. Starting with the series for children and students, the International Film Music Competition and premieres of well-known movie personalities as well as the discovery of new talents. The competition is the heart of the ZFF. In the competition, the ZFF presents films by young, aspiring filmmakers competing for the Golden Eye Award with their first, second or third directorial work. These cinematic discoveries often find their way to the cinema only thanks to the platform at the festival. This top-class program is supplemented by exclusive customer events, dinners and parties.
