Rising International was launched in 2002 with the generous support of Dina and Clint Eastwood, Connie and Bob Lurie (the former owners of the S.F. Giants), and Joan Baez.\\Rising International is a nonprofit organization that has revolutionized the home party business model to alleviate poverty locally and globally. Think Avon or Tupperware for a social cause.\\We find the world's most forgotten women and enable them to change their destinies by selling their handmade boutique quality products at Rising Home and Corporate Parties. We train women and teens to be Rising Representatives, many economically vulnerable, to run their own Rising Home Party businesses and sell the products made by their global sisters. We search the U.S. for party hosts who invite friends to their homes to shop.\\Our sustainable model empowers both local and global entrepreneurs to rise above their circumstances.\\Here are someways to get involved with Rising International:\\Host a PopUp Global Marketplace: Every product featured at a PopUp is handmade by women rising above poverty, war and human trafficking. PopUp supporters will find exquisite jewelry made by women rescued from brothels in Kolkata India, beautiful silk scarves by women living in a hidden community in Haiti, and precious dolls made by widows in Afghanistan. Funds raised from PopUp sales benefit women both locally and globally!\\Donate: It takes us all working together to end poverty in our lifetime. Your donation will go to help supply artisans with the tools they need to become part of the global marketplace, help train women to build their crafts businesses and become self-sufficient, and help bring families to economic security.\\Awards: Ashoka Changemakers and The Packard Foundation's 2014 Activating Empathy Award, 1st place in the 2014 CruzCares Award, 2nd place in SVCC-Opportunity Hack, and our founder Carmel Jud won the 50/50 Leadership Woman of the World Award
