The office SD Partners is created in 1984, with the name Sistema Duemila, and at present has offices in Milan and Rome. SD is engaged in the preparation of municipal engineering plans, of urban developments, and in the design of articulated and integrated building complexes. Numerous plans have been drawn up and are under approval with which it is dealing at present. In Milan, Rome and other cities, SD has designed and is following the administrative developments of numerous Integrated Programs of Intervention, Allotment Plans and Recovery Plans. In the staff professional workers qualified for the bio-architectonic design and energy certification are present, with proven experience and comprehensive technical and scientific support. SD from June 2008 is a member of the Green Building Council Italy, participating actively on a protocol LEED Italy. SD is expert in Public Works as it has designed and managed works of public and strategic buildings, infrastructures, roads and metros.SD has experience in the restoration and restructuring of historical buildings and churches. SD has designed and carried out the municipal engineering of different Lombard cities: squares, roads, entire road compartments, also in strategic junctions. SD realizes designs in partnership with numerous Italian and foreign offices. Recently it designed in 2008 with Herzog & de Meuron for the design of the new office complex and Fondazione Feltrinelli, in 2007 with Steven Holl Architects worked at the tender for the new building of the Municipality of Rome Campidoglio 2 , in 2004 with Pei Cobb Freed & Partners with which it won the international tender for the New Office of the Lombardy region. SD also collaborates with Italian offices of clear fame and tradition from Gabetti and Isola to Ian+. It has obtained numerous prizes and decorations and various members of its staff are members of associations.
