The Barossa Wine Industry Fund was established under the Primary Industry Funding Schemes Act 1998 for the benefit of Barossa grape growers and winemakers who are the fund contributors. With over 750 grape growers and 170 winery members the Association's activities are designed to generate value for them. These issues for the Barossa Wine Sector have been summarised into three key result areas (KRA's): 1. Promotion of the Barossa Wine Region and its Wines Goal: Increase the market value of wines made from Barossa grown grapes through more effective marketing. 2. Best Practice Grape and Wine Production Goal: Facilitate uptake of innovative practices in vineyards and wineries to ensure profitable enterprises and environmental sustainability. 3. Policy Development and Implementation. Goal: Secure the long term viability of the Barossa viticulture and winemaking business environment for future generations.
