We Educate for Excellence. It's a mission the Westlake City School District takes seriously and strives to promote to our more than 4,000 students and about 600 staff members. The district consists of three K-4 elementary schools, a PK-4 elementary school, an intermediate school for grades 5 and 6, a 7-8 middle school and our high school. The Westlake Schools, located at the western edge of Cuyahoga County, consistently earn the top "Excellent"​ rating on the state report card, placing us in the top 4% of districts statewide by providing students a foundation in the basic skills, while offering programs and courses that encourage individual academic success. Our program is driven by a Continuous Improvement Plan that guides the district in every aspect of its performance. We also enjoy strong support from our parents and community.
