It is the goal of Allaire Village, Inc. to preservative, while educating the general public, on the Howell Works Company, an early 19th Century iron producing community, and on the life of James Peter Allaire, a prominent 19th Century marine engine manufacturer. We also demonstrate and preserve the everyday life of ordinary people in the 19th century. When possible, we encourage the public to take part in historic activities and gain a hands-on experience with the past.
