The Community Foundation of South Alabama (CFSA) was founded in 1976 by a core group of civic and professional leaders to serve as a vehicle to promote charitable giving and build a permanent philanthropic resource to address the changing needs in Mobile and the surrounding areas. The Foundation will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2016.The Foundation assembles and directs philanthropic assets to make southwest Alabama a better place. We are committed to acting with integrity with all of our partners, and to be equitable, inclusive and transparent in all we do. We are passionate about developing long-term, sustainable relationships based on mutual respect and trust in order to create measurable impact in our communities.
