Mater Dei Juan Diego Academy is the first Catholic school in San Diego to offer a 50/50 dual language Spanish/English immersion curriculum. All students receive 50% of their instruction in Spanish and the other 50% in English. Students have a core Spanish language teacher and a core English language teacher. The overall goal is to develop fully bilingual, biliterate and bicultural students. In addition, the curriculum is rooted in the STREAM education model (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math).
