Our business was founded in 1919 by Andrew Horwath. Andy emigrated from Austria in 1910. In a classic American success story, a side job constructing wooden extractor baskets in his basement grew into a thriving business. In the 1940's, his sons Joe and Rudy came into the business to help him design and manufacture laundry equipment. Some of those old Horwath machines can still be found today in laundry in the region.
