Baraka Shea Butter is a small Canadian/Ghanaian family owned business located on Vancouver Island in Canada and founded by husband and wife team, Wayne Dunn (Canadian/Irish) and Gifty Serbeh-Dunn (Ghanaian/Canadian). We have a passion for using business to create meaningful community impact and generate financial returns, while simultaneously respecting our planet and environment. We do this by creating value chains and human connections to bring high-quality local products to global markets and industries. This supports hard-working local women to generate income and develop their communities and provides ethical and sustainable products to people, businesses and industries in North America and around the world.Baraka started out by working with communities in Ghana to help provide the dignity of income. What began as simply finding a market for shea butter, has grown to a varied product line including cocoa butter, coconut oil, palm oil, baobab powder, kombo butter, bolga baskets, and black soap. As the company grows, suitability and social responsibility remain key values for Baraka. Our approach is not as a charitable or philanthropic issue but rather as a core strategic foundation of the business. Baraka is privileged to be the bridge that connects the production of hard-working Ghanaian women to our customers and shareholders. The better we can integrate social responsibility and environmental stewardship, the more successful we will be and the more value we can create. Our supply chain is intentionally designed to have an impact throughout. We offer worldwide shipping and free shipping on orders over $100.
