Myaware is a charity that supports people with all types of the muscle weakening disease - Myasthenia. The charity's main objectives are:1. To provide comfort and support for people diagnosed with MG.2. To increase public and medical awareness of MG.3. To support medical research projects to find a cure for MG.Symptoms of Myasthenia can include:o Drooping eyelids o Blurred or double vision o Slurred speech o Difficulty chewing or swallowing o Weakness in the arms and legs o Chronic muscle fatigue o Difficulty breathing Message from Ronnie Whelan, Patron of the Myaware: "I had never heard of Myasthenia until my daughter was diagnosed with this debilitating disease. It was only when it touched my immediate family that I found out what it was, so I am really determined now to raise awareness about the disease and help families throughout Ireland.
