Getaway Growth is a non-profit that sends cohorts of underserved youth on the international trip of their lifetime each summer. Our mission is to remove barriers and facilitate access to international travel for youth by providing a balanced and unique combination of global experiences to foster a mindset of possibility. We partner with other non-profits that have volunteer needs we can satisfy through collaboration, as well as partnering with local services in the host countries to provide room, board, cultural education, and responsible tourism. Our trips are designed for underserved youth to have a life-changing month in another country, where they can make friends with each other and members of the local community in the host country, learn valuable skills they can use in the future, experience and participate in a culture totally different from their own, and have the opportunity to return or visit other countries in future cohorts, with progressive responsibility as mentors. Most importantly, our trips will help underserved youth experience a new world of possibilities to empower them to self-actuate. We believe every young adult deserves a world of possibilities and relationships that transcend borders.
