As one of the nation's leading comprehensive medical schools, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in education, research, health care delivery, and the promotion of community health. Previously an academic unit of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School transferred to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, as part of the New Jersey Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act, on July 1, 2013.
