Talbert Building Supply's roots date back to the late 1930s when Edd and J.D. Talbert began harvesting timber for a sawmill. The brothers founded Roxboro, NC, based Talbert & Talbert Lumber Co in the 1950s. In 1983, Edd's son Danny added a retail store that would later become Talbert Building Supply, Inc.
